Experience
I have 4 experience with teaching at all levels and all age groups. I specialise in teaching English, French, Mathematics and Biology but being adept and knowledgeable in all sciences I am can also teach Physics and Chemistry. I am a sociable, open, accepting and compassionate person who enjoys providing help to and supporting other people. I really appreciate getting to know new people. These are some of the reasons I really enjoy teaching - it makes me happy to be helping others and contributing to the development of someone else than myself. I am interested in trying out different teaching methods as some work with some people while others do not. This means I am keen to get to know the people I teach, observe what methods of learning work best for them and apply them. Moreover, I am interested in education in a broader sense. I am keen to research different schooling systems and analyse their respective strengths and weaknesses. Hobbies
I am an active person who loves to be outdoors, playing sports such as rugby and basketball as well as other outdoor activities such as walking, hiking and cycling. I love cycling because I think it is such a good way to get around while also remaining fit! I used to go everywhere by bike in London and am planning on getting one while in Beirut. In my spare time, I like to read, watch films and listen to music. I value variety in all of these activities meaning that I read a variety of genre of books from pop fiction to literature to fact-based books. I also appreciate most genres of music from classical to hip-hop and electronic music. I also enjoy hands-on activities including cooking which I like to spend time on as I think it to be a great way to take care of myself and keeping me healthy. I also think of cooking as a creative process, I really enjoy inventing dishes and think I'm quite good at it too! I also really enjoy building things and having small projects for home improvement. A creative outlet for me is "upcycling" where I take seemingly useless and broken items and use them for other purposes. I often tinker and try to repair things which are broken. I like travelling and experiencing new things. I find new cultures very exciting along their many facets such as the food, language and art. I love the feeling of being immersed in a culture I know nothing of. There is so much to learn!
